Welcome back everybody! I’m Brian Bogert and I am so excited to back today for: Episode- 43 of Bogert’s Bullets!

Today we’re going to talk about: Growth Through Struggle!

Napoleon Hill said, “Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle!”

I am the kind of person who is wired to want constant growth and constant improvement; day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. I have a relentless effort for personal and professional improvement and I’m always having the tread line go up! However, the result of that type of mentality is that when I have a slower growth period or even a regression period, I tend to get anxious. I always want that PEAK GROWTH that comes from those peak growth periods. The reality of it is, that doesn’t always happen.

If you look at the stock market, the economy, or anything that has happened with companies and their growth over time, it never happens on a continual peak growth state. There are always regression periods, there are always slow down periods, and there are always flatline periods. It’s part of the growing cycle.

I had a conversation with a very good friend last week who brought a lot of great insight to the topic. I want to share it because it is 100% on point- He said that the greatest amount of growth that we ever see, comes from our flatline, our regression, and our slowed down periods. When we are in our peak growth mode, we don’t have time to look up and make the investments in ourselves, in our businesses, and to focus on the things that we need to do to improve. Things are going well, everything looks fantastic, and we don’t seem to have the ability to focus on what else needs to be done. But when we start slowing down, when we start flatlining, and regressing, it forces us to analyze the areas we need to make investments in. Where do we need to improve? Where can we continually push the envelope? Inevitably, if we do that, the greatest periods of personal and professional growth will come from it. After my conversation with my buddy last week, I made a vow to embrace those periods of time! That ABSOLUTELY does not mean I won’t be anxious to grow and always get better. But I understand that those periods of time are creating the momentum and the massive force for that peak growth. I know that if I do it right, that peak growth will be even better!

Identify the areas to invest in, look for areas of growth, and implement and watch what it does to your growth long term!
